In case you thought that the Dan Barker’s FFFR could sink no lower—into a mire of their own making—even lower than they were the minute they were founded.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation was established in the USA which is a country premised on the concept of freedom of religious expression—so, go figure.
Their maxim has, from day one, been, “There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world.” Of course, this is merely an assertion and no evidence for it has been produced thus, they are a “faith” based Atheist organization.
Then, they encourage the celebration of the Solstice so they are a “faith” based neo-Pagan Atheist organization.
They have now demanded that Marco Rubio stop tweeting Bible verses—from his private social networking page. Dan Barker and his FFRF do not seem to understand the very basic of USA law. Any federal government employee can say whatever they want (within this context). Rubio could even say that he wants to establish a theocracy but as long as he does not succeed he is free to say it. What Rubio cannot do is violate the First Amendment’s “Establishment Clause” about which the FFRF will probably file a lawsuit because “Clause” looks and sounds too much like Santa “Claus.” The Clause states, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”
How about we found the Freedom From Censorship Foundation? Or the Freedom From Atheistic Tyranny Foundation? Or, perhaps the Freedom From Dogmatheism Foundation?
No wonder I had to include Dan Barker in by book Pop-Atheist Bible Expositors which you can find announced here.
A plea: I have to pay for server usage and have made all content on this website free and always will. I support my family on one income and do research, writing, videos, etc. as a hobby. If you can even spare $1.00 as a donation, please do so: it may not seem like much but if each person reading this would do so, even every now and then, it would add up and really, really help. Here is my donate/paypal page.
